Who are we?

Here within the Anglian Water @one Alliance we are a totally collaborative organisation made up of our eight partner companies (Anglian Water, Balfour Beatty, Barhale, Binnies, MMB, MWH Treatment, Skanska and SWECO) and our extended supply chain, working together to deliver over half of Anglian Water’s capital investment programme.

We are gearing up for our most exciting and challenging Asset Management Period yet, known as AMP8, this will see us deliver a programme of work larger than we’ve ever delivered before. We’ll be embarking on a new kind of project delivery focusing on nature-based solutions like wetlands and urban drainage schemes.

We are driving change, empowering us to set global benchmarks and build a better environment, with the opportunity to offer enhanced growth and development to our workforce. We’re looking to build on our existing teams with an environment built for career progression.

Anglian Waters has an ambitious £9bn 5-year capital investment programme that will provide safe and resilient water supplies, permit sustainable growth, provide climate change resilience, and protect and improve the natural environment, and the @one Alliance leads on that delivery. With that in mind we are looking for a number of BIM Coordinators to join the team to help.

What will you be doing as our new BIM Coordinator?

We'll look to you to manage the digital modelling for a group of projects, by managing BIM technicians to create models that comply with the project requirements and BIM procedures. You’ll collaborate within project teams to produce design and BIM models and ensure the quality and data integrity of intelligent 3D models, by undertaking checks and verifications of the models, to achieve compliance with the BIM standards, procedures, and guidelines.

You’ll provide line management, guidance and support to assigned BIM staff. Grow your professional internal and external networks with a multitude of partners that form the @one Alliance. Work to broaden your skills by working collaboratively with Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Procurement, Stakeholder Management, Environmental & Planning, and Construction Managers.

Key responsibilities:

  • Attend and contribute to design coordination meetings to resolve clashes and discrepancies within models, and identify opportunities regarding cost efficiencies, programme, safety, and sustainability.

  • Use the BIM models to identify potential design risks and mitigation measures and share with the design team.

  • Support the extraction of relevant data and information from BIM models to support the preparation of PCI documents.

  • Ensure that all design-related data is correctly structured and easily accessible within the models.

  • Support model catalogue management, to streamline data organisation and optimise the use of intelligent 3D models.

  • Work closely with technician, engineers, technical manager, and other project team members to ensure the design inputs are accurately represented in BIM models.

  • Provide technical support and guidance to design teams on BIM-related issues.

  • Support creating a positive and fulfilling environment, where everyone is respected and heard, and treated equally.

  • Proactively research and implement innovative new processes and ways of working to optimise output.

A little bit about your skills, experience and behaviours….

To join us on the team, you’ll hold an engineering diploma, degree, or equivalent. Have extensive experience in both mechanical and civil disciplines with proven proficiency in either, or a combination of: Plant3D, Civil3D, Revit, Navisworks, and Recap software. You’ll have experience of water-sector assets and delivering capital projects and experience of design & Build environment is preferred.

You’ll demonstrate compliance with the organisation's business ethics, a respectful attitude to others within the alliance, Anglian Water and customers, the need to protect our reputation, and integrity. You’ll foster good collaboration and communication with project teams and effective personal and social skills, and champion diversity and inclusion.

If you are looking for an opportunity to take the next step in your career with an industry- leading alliance, please apply today!
