What You Will Do:
Reporting to the Billing Manager, your role as Billing Associate will include management of a portfolio of projects and clients in our EME organization. This is an opportunity to develop your experience in international billing and related activities, with opportunities to collaborate in reporting, data analysis and other ad hoc tasks as part of a friendly, multi-cultural and collaborative team.
Responsibilities include:
Contracts, Billing and AR
Assist in reviewing initial contract and project set up in Peoplesoft to ensure correct and accurate revenue recognition.
Maintain records on an ongoing basis, including understanding billing plans, invoice procedure and amendments to budgets etc.
Maintain log sheets for unbilled Work in Progress and uncollected AR in the portfolio. Follow up on aged items. Provide information to management when required.
Work with Project Managers and others to ensure that draft invoices are raised in a timely manner and in compliance with company policy and local regulations.
Finalize invoices and distribute, including use of several client online billing portals.
Assist in AR collection efforts by contacting client Accounts Payable teams.
Other tasks
Communicate billing issues with relevant teams across the business.
Respond to queries both from within and outside the business.
Generate reports and analyse data to assist in the tasks described above, or to provide to management etc.
Other ad-hoc related tasks as required.
What You Will Need:
University degree.
Minimum 2 (TWO) years of billing/AR experience or similar in a consulting or other professional services operating on DSO revenue model.
Experience with WIP and AR with strong understanding of how effective management of these maintains a low DSO result.
Intermediate level of MS Office, Excel and Word; ability to analyze and work with often large and complex data sets would be a plus.
Ability to work under pressure and prioritize workload effectively.
A proactive approach to problem solving, taking initiative to identify and resolve errors and problems to avoid impacts on business processes.
Detail orientated with the ability to detect errors and maintain a high level of accuracy.
Strong verbal and written communication with colleagues at all levels, as part of an international organization.
What Would Be Nice To Have:
University degree in Finance, Accounting or related subject.
Intermediate knowledge of German (able to identify and locate key information in German language documentation) would be beneficial.
Intermediate knowledge of French (able to identify and locate key information in German language documentation) would be beneficial.
