About the Role

The Bids & Tenders Manager will play a pivotal role within Faculty’s go-to-market team, leading the end-to-end bid and tender process to support the company’s growth and success.
You will drive some of our largest bids; from the initial kick-off meeting right through to the presentation/interview stage, ensuring all deadlines are met. You’ll work closely with our bid and other relevant teams to play a key role in helping to improve our overall bids and tenders operation and ensure we are crafting a proposition of the intellectual and thoughtful calibre for which Faculty is renowned.
Reporting directly to the Senior Bid Manager, this role will collaborate closely with business unit directors, delivery managers, and cross-functional stakeholders to develop compelling, high-quality proposals that win new business and strengthen client relationships.


What You'll be Doing


Your role will evolve alongside business needs, but you can expect your key responsibilities to include:

  • Leading and managing the end-to-end bid process, preparing and delivering high-quality responses across both public and private sectors customers

  • Assessing tender requirements; defining timelines, responsibilities and resource requirements as needed

  • Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders and business unit directors to align bid strategies with organisational goals.

  • Collaborating with technical, commercial, financial, and legal teams to gather important information for bid submission

  • Continuously improving bid processes and ways of working to enhance efficiency and success rates.

  • Writing, drafting and editing bid content, adapting style and approach to meet client requirements.

  • Supporting with framework management and positioning exercises to ensure Faculty are well positioned to receive relevant opportunities from frameworks

To succeed in this role, you'll need demonstrable experience in some of the following:

  • Proven experience leading and managing bid responses, including writing and coordinating complex proposals

  • Strong ability to engage and build relationships with senior stakeholders across diverse sectors

  • Relevant tender experience; leading the bid process for a private company, or government / wider public sector

  • Aptitude for a scale-up environment - strategic, proactive, flexible, organised, pragmatic, delivery focused.

  • Excellent communication and writing skills, with the ability to structure clear, persuasive responses

  • A collaborative mindset with resilience to receive and act on constructive feedback to continuously improve bid processes and outcomes
