An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Bids & Proposals Manager to join our team.
You will have primary responsibility for the creation of costed sales proposals for submission through the company’s gate process ensuring on time delivery to the customer. This is a highly networked role that requires the role holder to manage multiple projects simultaneously delivering to high standards under pressure and to challenging deadlines. You will have a good project management skills, a sound grasp of relevant commercial and technical aspects and the ability to manage without authority.

What you will be doing:
- Assist the Sales team in the initial Bid / No Bid review of all incoming enquiries.
- Load new opportunities into the CRM system and co-manage the updating and maintenance of the opportunity pipeline.
- Generation of compliance matrices derived from the customers initial enquiry by managing without authority virtual teams.
- Prepare and review costed proposals including cost sheets, commercial and technical proposal documents against compliance matrixes ensuring the customer’s needs are understood and exceeded.
- Ensure all proposals and gated through the company’s gate procedures.
- Lead in the continued development of sales resources such as pre-gated proposal templates to ensure timely processing of bids through the business.
- Move out other duties in the Sales & Marketing department as directed.

- Bachelor’s degree in electrical or electronic engineering discipline or extensive experience in the marine industry.
- Good commercial and business acumen coupled with practice negotiating skills and conflict resolution.
- Demonstrable experience in interfacing with customers, suppliers and partners.
- Project Management experience.
- Ability to manage multiple, complex bids concurrently.
- Ability to work to tight and challenging deadlines Essential Proficient user of Microsoft Office 365 software.
- Broad knowledge of the Marine market.
- In depth knowledge of the mtu NautIQ Portfolio of products.
