About the role:

 

Learning Pool’s Bid Team supports our commercial organisation in responding to external requests for information, defining world-class solutions and preparing compelling project proposals. Working as part of the team, you will also help our Revenue Team to qualify opportunities, prepare bid presentations for the customer and maintain an up to date library of bid assets.

You will need to enjoy working to fixed and often short deadlines and have the ability to network effectively across Learning Pool to coordinate resources and expertise from colleagues in other teams. An eye for detail and fantastic communication skills are required whilst a good understanding of learning technologies is an advantage but not essential.

What you will be doing 

Roles and responsibilities include:

 

  • Support the Revenue Team’s objectives and activities by understanding and articulating the best of Learning Pool’s propositions to customers in client conversations and written responses
  • Develop a deep understanding of our products, services and solution propositions

  • Review client documentation to commercially and technically qualify opportunities and establish their range of requirements

  • Complete Pre-Qualification Questionnaires, Invitations to Tender and Requests for Information / Proposals in liaison with the Commercial Team 

  • Properly create, format and proofread bid documentation, using pre-existing text and graphics where suitable and developing new where needed

  • Work with Technical and Learning Experience teams to extract or create resources for each client response

  • Liaise directly with clients to capture and clarify requirements when necessary

  • Coordinate proposal creation and ensure submission deadlines are met 

  • Help the sales team to help develop compelling client presentations 

  • Attend sales and bid planning meetings 

  • Help maintain a customer reference register and support the creation of case studies

 

Who we are looking for 

 

The successful candidate will demonstrate that they are enthusiastic and knowledgeable about technology, skilled at communicating this with a broad range of clients both verbally and in writing and have an exceptional eye for detail. Commercial experience in selling learning technology products and services is desirable but not necessarily essential for the right candidate.

  • Deadline management: You will have demonstrable experience working to tight deadlines while managing multiple tasks effectively
  • Written communication: You will have strong writing skills with proven experience in drafting, formatting, and proofreading professional documents.

  • Attention to detail: You will have excellent accuracy and the ability to tailor responses to specific client requirements.

  • Collaboration: You will have the ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues across different teams and levels of seniority.

  • Organisation: You will be highly organised with strong time management skills and a track record of meeting submission deadlines.

  • Client documentation: You will be comfortable interpreting client documentation and extracting requirements to support compelling bid responses.

  • Motivation: You will be proactive and motivated, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
