About this role

We are seeking a highly motivated BI Engineer to join our analytics team. You’ll be developing and maintaining the business intelligence layer that powers reporting and decision-making across Ozone.

In this role, you’ll work closely with analysts and data engineers to build well-structured, reliable data models that support impactful insights across the business.  You will play a vital role in championing the democratisation of data in Ozone, shaping our reporting and while working alongside a dynamic team passionate about problem solving.

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain reporting tables and data models for analysis
  • Collaborate with data engineers to translate raw data into usable reporting structures
  • Ensure metric consistency, data accuracy, and clarity across BI reports and dashboards
  • Work with analysts and data engineers to implement reporting structures that reflect defined business metrics and logic
  • Develop documentation, testing and monitoring strategies for the reporting foundation
  • Develop and maintain a central source of data knowledge by managing the data catalog and contributing to metadata strategy
  • Provide ongoing business-critical support through daily maintenance of BI function data requests
  • Support performance tuning and optimisation of reporting queries

Required experience/ skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or quantitative field preferred: Science, Engineering, Statistics, or similar
  • Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulations
  • Passion for problem-solving and self-motivated
  • Attention to detail with a keen eye for accuracy and data integrity
