Limitless draws together Linklaters’ paralegals, support lawyers, legal project managers and legaltech professionals as well as Re:link consultants. The role:
The Business Development and Marketing Advisor plays a key role in shaping and raising Re:link’s external and internal profile, both in the UK and Middle East. This is a varied and engaging role that would suit someone who can independently managing competing priorities and enjoys being part of a larger team. This role offers the opportunity to work with colleagues in Re:link and across the wider firm on a range of projects and initiatives. Responsibilities include energetic curatorship of the platform’s online presence including keeping the Re:link website and LinkedIn pages up to date, competitor analysis and market monitoring, the design and preparation of marketing materials and regular newsletters, and hands-on organisation of Re:link events.
The role will suit someone who is proactive, energetic and outward looking, and who brings structure, focus, and plans ahead. They should have excellent attention to detail and communication skills, an interest in community management, and good business development and marketing experience preferably in the legal sector.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Work with and support the Head of Re:link and the Senior Client Development Manager with the ongoing creation and execution of the Re:link business development and marketing plan. This includes taking responsibility for certain workstreams and BAU tasks including social media management and creating regular newsletters.
Business Development:
- Identify opportunities to participate in pitches and RFP responses, and prepare and coordinate Re:link contributions as relevant.
- Support the Client team to engage with Linklaters partners, practice groups and business teams to unlock client secondment and internal opportunities for Re:link consultants.
- Work with the Re:link team to monitor cross-selling opportunities across the business.
- Collaborate with business development and marketing colleagues in other Alternative Legal Services teams, business teams, and the practice groups, to ensure a joined-up approach for selling Re:link externally and internally.
- Monitor and report on competitor activity and market trends.
- Be proactive in identifying opportunities to promote the Re:link brand both internally and externally.
Marketing:
- Own and actively manage Re:link’s social media and digital activity (including the Re:link website and LinkedIn pages), with the objective of growing Re:link’s online presence. This includes creating fresh, impactful and engaging content and increasing the platforms’ audiences.
- Promote proactive use of social media across the Re:link team.
- Collaborate with and build strong relationships with the Linklaters digital team as well as other relevant business teams including the alumni team.
- Design, prepare and maintain impactful marketing materials as needed, including preparing content for internal and external meetings, and to support the team’s marketing activities.
- Be the point of contact with external vendors and collaborators, for events and merchandise purchases.
- Deliver ad hoc projects as required.
Re:link Lawyer Community:
- Organise and manage Re:link events, with support from the Talent and Operations teams. This includes putting in place logistics for the events, including overseeing preparation of mailing lists and event invitations and working with the Operations team to manage responses to events.
- Own the preparation and publishing of the Re:link community newsletter.
- Work with relevant teams, including the Re:link Legal and Compliance Manager, to ensure Re:link’s eMarketing process is and remains compliant with GDPR and other data protection requirements.
- Keep the Community page on the Re:link consultant dashboard up to date with regular news from the Re:link team.
You will ideally have/be:
- Experience in a comparable role in a peer flexible legal resourcing platform, legal recruitment consultancy and/or other alternative legal services platform, with a sound understanding of the legal sector.
- Bring structure, discipline and focus, with the ability to plan ahead and work autonomously.
- Excellent writing and copywriting skills.
- Hands-on, flexible, willing to “get hands dirty” to help the team with whatever it needs, team player, enthusiastic.
This role is a 12 month FTC and can be remote with occasional travel to the London office or based in Linklaters' London office with a hybrid working model. This is part of Linklaters and Re:link’s drive to offer flexibility and alternative working arrangements.
