To support our plans, we're seeking a skilled software engineer to contribute to the growth of our private capital software. About You
As a software engineer, you’ll join a team focused on powering Private Market data intelligence and insights. You’ll report to the Head of Engineering and collaborate closely with various teams within the organization
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain code for new features and improvements with adequate test coverage, using modern frameworks
- Assist in various development phases, including specification, architecture, and productization
- Break down complex systems into manageable tasks for efficient delivery
- Assist in translating business requirements into technical designs and specifications
- Foster a DevOps mindset to ensure quality product delivery
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
- Promote best engineering practices within the team
- Offer guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional software development experience
- Proficiency in Python development
- Experience in API development
- Experience with modern software practices such as TDD, Refactoring, Continuous Integration
- Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Willingness to adapt to change and take ownership of tasks
- Collaborative mindset with a focus on delivering quality products
- Familiarity with microservice-based applications and Continuous Delivery
- Understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases
- (Bonus) Experience with frontend (JavaScript/TypeScript) development
