The role

We are looking for a dynamic and creative Field Marketing Manager to lead our event marketing programme during this maternity cover period. This is a pivotal role in our rapidly scaling, mission driven commercial team. You will be responsible for creating high impact experiences that build our brand, generate pipeline, and foster strong relationships with key prospects and customers.

As this is a maternity cover, we are looking for a specialist who enjoys being hands on. You will focus on the end to end execution of our events and provide direct support to our Go To Market (GTM) teams, ensuring they have everything they need to deliver results.

As our Field Marketing Manager, you will be the driving force behind our events. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Conference and event execution: You will design and deliver a comprehensive programme across owned and industry events. This includes planning and executing large scale conferences, webinars, panel discussions, networking receptions, trade shows, and executive dinners.

  • GTM enablement and support: You will act as a key partner to our GTM teams. You will manage reactive requests and provide the necessary support to ensure sales teams can successfully leverage events to drive commercial outcomes.

  • Content and speaker management: You will take the lead on sourcing and securing high profile speakers, collaborating with them to develop compelling event content that resonates with our target audience of CIOs, CDOs, CTOs, and CHROs.

  • Sales collaboration: You will forge strong relationships with our sales organisation. You will work closely with senior sales leaders to understand their immediate needs and provide event driven solutions and enablement materials.

  • Budget and project management: You will have full ownership of the field marketing budget, ensuring all initiatives are delivered on time and within budget while demonstrating a clear return on investment.

  • Stakeholder management: You will confidently collaborate with a wide range of senior stakeholders, both internally and externally, ensuring alignment and successful event outcomes.

Who we are looking for

We believe the right candidate will be a passionate and highly organised marketer with a knack for creating unforgettable events. You should have:

  • 5 or more years of proven experience in Field Marketing or a similar role with a strong emphasis on organisational and logistical tasks.

  • A demonstrable track record of planning and executing a variety of events, specifically large scale conferences.

  • A "doing" mindset, with the ability to manage the tactical delivery of events alongside reactive support requests from the business.

  • A strong understanding of wider marketing strategies and the role events play in a multi channel approach.

  • A data driven mindset with a clear point of view on how the success of events should be measured and reported.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a natural ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively with sales teams and senior leaders.

  • A self starter attitude, with the ability to work independently and take ownership of projects from conception to completion.

  • Experience in selling to CIO, CDO, or CTO personas is a significant plus.

It would be great if you also have:

  • A passion for content creation and experience repurposing event content into blog posts or other assets.

  • A keen interest in leveraging AI tools to drive efficiencies and innovation in your work.

  • A working knowledge of ABM practices and the role of events within 1:1 or 1:few approaches.

  • A desire to think creatively, working with various budget sizes to deliver effective events.

How we will measure your success

Quantitative metrics will include meetings booked with sales from events, pipeline generated from those meetings, and the efficacy of pre and post event digital activity. For in house events, you will also be measured on attendance rates and the demographics of attendees. Qualitative factors will include feedback from sales on the quality of support provided, feedback from attendees, and organic commentary on social channels.
