Your future role within QRT

We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to support the growth and development of our global AWS VPC network. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud networking, automation, and security, with a strong emphasis on scalability and governance. Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage and grow a complex global AWS VPC system
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly-scaling environment
  • Use infrastructure-as-code to ensure that topology is formally defined
  • Implementing automated deployment for controlled and efficient change management.
  • Onboard new and appropriate AWS Services as they become available
  • Enhancing governance and compliance in line with organizational needs.
  • Ensure that traffic is observable in a usable fashion
  • Develop strong, positive relations with security, IT and end-user teams
  • Proactively identifying opportunities for optimization and innovation. 

Your present skillset

  • 5+ years of experience in a cloud engineering role with a strong focus on AWS.
  • Expertise in networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, etc.).
  • Deep understanding of AWS networking services, including VPC, Transit Gateway, PrivateLink, Direct Connect, Route 53.
  • Experience with IP Address Management (IPAM).
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Python, CDK/CloudFormation).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Preferred skills:
    • Load Balancing: ELB, NLB, API Gateway
    • Security: Firewalls, Shield, WAF
    • Open Source and Third Party technologies to complement AWS tooling
    • Logging and observability (e.g., Flow Logs).
    • Experience with IPv6 deployment.
  • Willingness to develop:
    • Emerging AWS technologies: CloudWAN, Route 53 Profiles
    • IAM and permission management
    • Kubernetes
    • Big Data management and processing
