We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Solutions Architect to design, implement and manage cloud solutions for our clients. This particular engagement is working in an advisory capacity with a global brand in London and will require travel to the site on an occasional basis.

Key responsibilities & duties include:   

  • Act as a trusted AWS Cloud expert, consulting with clients to identify, design, and implement bespoke cloud solutions.
  • Conduct in-depth assessments of existing cloud architectures, providing strategic recommendations to optimise performance, security, and cost-efficiency.
  • Collaborate with client teams to integrate AWS services into applications, ensuring seamless operation and scalability.
  • Manage and optimise AWS environments, automating workflows to enhance efficiency and reduce manual interventions.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements within cloud environments.
  • Provide technical mentorship to internal and client teams, delivering training sessions and workshops.
  • Support the migration of on-premises systems to AWS, ensuring minimal disruption and optimising cloud architecture.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines using AWS services, enabling efficient deployment and continuous integration.
  • Provide technical expertise during the sales process, helping clients evaluate and adopt appropriate AWS solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices and quality standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS developments and trends, applying them to enhance client solutions.

Required Skills: 

  • Demonstrable experience in AWS cloud consultancy, with the ability to advise clients on optimal cloud solutions for their unique requirements.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect or equivalent certification.
  • Experience and practical exposure using AWS Amazon Relational Database Service / RSD
  • Extensive experience in AWS cloud architecture, with in-depth knowledge of services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and VPC.
  • Expertise in infrastructure-as-code tools like CloudFormation or Terraform.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell to automate AWS operations.
  • Strong DevOps knowledge, including experience with Jenkins, Git, Docker, and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Experience with AWS monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, ELK stack, or Prometheus) to ensure system performance and reliability.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A consultative approach to working with clients, focused on solving business challenges using AWS cloud solutions.
