We are seeking an experienced Senior Front End Developer to join a high-profile customer complaints and remediation programme within a leading UK financial services organisation.

You will take ownership of the front-end delivery of a new customer-facing web portal, built from an approved design and BRD. The portal will enable customers to securely access complaint outcomes, authenticate using reference numbers and OTP, review offers, accept or decline outcomes, and, in future phases, provide and verify bank account details for redress payments.

Working closely with cloud engineers, back-end developers, architects and business stakeholders, you will be responsible for building a secure, scalable and intuitive customer experience, integrating with authentication services and back-end APIs.

This is a unique opportunity to shape and deliver a greenfield solution that will be used by thousands of customers as part of a major regulatory remediation programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design, develop and maintain customer-facing web applications using Angular or React and TypeScript.

  2. Build responsive, secure and user-friendly interfaces based on existing designs and business requirements.

  3. Integrate applications with REST APIs, authentication services and workflow platforms.

  4. Implement customer authentication journeys including OTP and multi-factor authentication.

  5. Support secure handling and processing of customer data, PII and bank account information.

  6. Collaborate with business, UX, product and technical teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

  7. Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment and release activities.

  8. Contribute to frontend architecture, technical design discussions and continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong commercial experience developing web applications using Angular or React with TypeScript.

  • Experience building customer-facing digital products and web portals.

  • Experience developing applications from scratch.

  • Strong REST API integration experience.

  • Experience working with authentication and authorisation mechanisms such as OTP, MFA, SSO, Cognito or Azure AD.

  • Experience handling customer data and PII within regulated environments.

  • Understanding of software development best practices, testing and deployment processes.

  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of frontend delivery.

  • Available immediately or at short notice.

Desirable Experience

  • Financial Services, Banking, Insurance or FinTech experience.

  • Customer complaints, remediation, customer review or operational transformation programmes.

  • Bank account capture, validation or payment-related workflows.

  • Workflow platform experience such as iQ Codex, Appian, Pega, Camunda or similar.

  • AWS or Azure deployment experience.

  • Experience working within Agile delivery teams.
