WHAT YOU WILL DO:

The AV (Audio-Visual) Implementation Engineer is responsible for overseeing the deployment, integration, and configuration of AV systems in various settings, including conference rooms, training spaces, auditoriums, and other specialized environments. The role requires expertise in AV hardware, software, troubleshooting, and the ability to work closely with project managers, vendors, and end-users to ensure the successful installation and functionality of AV systems. 

The Implementation Engineer role will act as SME, and as part of a team, responsible for implementation, operation, troubleshooting and vendor escalation of AV equipment, including conference AV and unified communication systems and OUS conference room retrofits and new deployments

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • System Integration & Installation:
    • Plan and execute the installation of AV equipment, including audio systems, video conferencing solutions, and control systems.
    • Integrate AV solutions with existing IT infrastructure, including network and control systems, to ensure seamless functionality.
    • Conduct thorough testing of installed systems to verify performance and resolve any technical issues.
  • Configuration & Programming:
    • Configure and program AV systems to meet specific project requirements and client needs.
    • Customize user interfaces and control systems for ease of use.
    • Ensure AV systems are compatible with various devices and platforms.
  • Project Management Support:
    • Work closely with project managers to ensure timelines, budgets, and project scopes are met.
    • Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including equipment lists, wiring diagrams, and user manuals.
    • Coordinate with external vendors and manufacturers to source and procure AV equipment.
  • Client Interaction & Training:
    • Provide on-site support and guidance to clients during system deployment.
    • Conduct training sessions for end-users to ensure they are comfortable with AV systems and equipment.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during and after system installation, addressing any questions or issues.
  • Troubleshooting & Maintenance:
    • Diagnose and resolve technical problems with AV systems quickly and effectively.
    • Provide ongoing support for troubleshooting, maintenance, and system upgrades.
    • Maintain a detailed record of service activities, system issues, and resolutions.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
    • Create and maintain detailed documentation on system installations, configurations, and user instructions.
    • Report project progress, issues, and solutions to management and clients.
    • Track inventory, equipment lifecycle, and system performance for future upgrades and maintenance.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

  • 3-5 years of experience in AV system implementation, installation, or integration.
  • Hands-on experience with AV equipment, such as projectors, microphones, video conferencing systems, and control panels.
  • Experience with network configuration and system integration is a plus.

 Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of AV hardware, software, and protocols.
  • Familiarity with system design software and configuration tools.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting AV-related issues (audio, video, connectivity).
  • Experience with cloud-based AV solutions and remote management tools is a plus.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
