Lead and deliver audit engagements for financial services and technology clients from planning to completion. Manage a client portfolio (~£800k), supervise 2-3 direct reports, perform manager reviews, support advisory projects (KPI benchmarking, growth and structuring advice), mentor trainees, and contribute to business development while ensuring audit quality and efficiency.
We are looking to hire an ambitious Audit Manager to join our successful, fast-growing financial services and technology practice in the City with a strong reputation for client focus, collaboration and high standards. With around 70 specialists, the team supports a wide range of organisations, from scaling entrepreneurial businesses, to more established and complex organisations headquartered in the UK and overseas, with the added variety of work across other sectors.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and deliver audit engagements from planning through to completion
- Act as the main point of contact for a portfolio of clients, primarily across financial services and technology sectors
- Perform and oversee onsite manager reviews of audit work where required
- Manage audit assignments rather than large permanent teams
- Directly line-manage 2–3 team members, with broader interaction across a wider audit team of circa 70
- Planning jobs to ensure audits are carried out in the most efficient way possible while considering firm-wide productivity.
- Promoting the interests of the firm with all employed by the firm, clients, prospective clients and other third parties.
- Motivation and encouragement of team, providing timely constructive feedback
- The role would include being involved in advisory projects for financial services firms and technology businesses, such as KPI benchmarking, strategic growth opportunities, and structuring advice
- Overseeing and mentoring trainees during their training contract providing assistance when required.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
- Operating at Audit Manager level, within a similar Top 20 firm
- High level of familiarity with UK auditing and accounting standards
- Experience managing multiple audits and deadlines concurrently
- Exposure to business development activity, or a clear desire to develop further in this area
- Commitment to audit quality and attention to detail
- High level of personal motivation and drive, and ability to motivate and encourage others
- Experience of auditing financial services and/or technology clients would be desirable.
