Red Bull UK is recruiting for a Athlete Marketing Manager to be based in London, UK.

This role will help to drive and manage Red Bull’s Athlete Marketing program, demonstrating to the consumer that Red Bull is the only brand that Gives Wiiings to the world’s most exciting and talented athletes. Credibly and effectively communicating the functional benefits of Red Bull products to sports interested consumers via a world-class athlete team. The roster covers diverse sporting playgrounds and a good knowledge understanding of the broader sporting landscape is key. The role will be also be focussing on potential new sporting opportunities within areas and sports we are not currently exposed through. In this role the Athlete Marketing Manager must enable our athletes to progress in their sport and fulfill their dreams.

Job Description

Athlete Management

Manage a broad portfolio of existing Red Bull UK Athletes
Find new talent and ensure the best athletes are on the radar and poised to be on the roster
Onboard new athletes and their teams in line with Red Bull’s Athlete marketing philosophy
Ideate and create projects with our athletes and see them through from ideation to delivery
Set individual athlete goals and targets for each Athlete
Ensure understanding of product efficacy and communication around the product output is clear and visible
Negotiate athlete agreements and contracts – including performance expectations and goals
Work with athlete’s “circle of trust” and partners to create additional outcome and opportunities to extend the product and brand message
Provide regular reports and insights into athlete performance
Deliver key and timely reporting on the impact that the Athletes have on the UK business.

Athlete marketing

Deliver and input into the Athlete Marketing Strategy as directed by the Head of Athlete and ensure it meets Business objectives
Create a well-rounded 365 plan for the athletes including marketing activities, communication, and performance and contribute to the annual Business planning cycle
Clearly communicate these plans to the wider business to ensure that all departments of Red Bull are aware of the opportunities that athletes create.
Collaborate and work in team environment with other sports and marketing team members – Including amplification through the Red Bull Media Network, Brand and Field Marketing and Sales
Own and manage assigned athlete projects, both internally and externally including full budget management

Creativity

Take responsibility and ownership for creativity and ideation within the athlete team. Creating new ideas, concepts and formats that help us stand out from the crowd
Conceptualise and execute innovative and “sport-changing” athlete projects that bring the athlete and brand personality to life

Collaboration

Take ownership of collaboration within marketing to build our athletes profiles and understand the opportunities across all other departments
Be the gatekeeper to the athletes, but understand and build relationships with internal teams to maximise the impact of the athletes

Sports Team Development

Support the wider Marketing department by pushing the boundaries of ideation and performance within all categories of sport. Helping develop an in depth understanding of the UK sporting landscape.
Support in building annual Athlete business plans that support business needs.

Qualifications

Proven knowledge and experience in Sports Marketing (including athletes and events marketing)
In depth knowledge of sports management and sports industry
Strong influencing skills to include a host of key stakeholders in a broad range of sports
Collaborative attitude and strong brand passion 
Exceptional communication skills – including training and presentation abilities
Ability to actively seek out new opportunities for the Red Bull brand
Excellent budget management
Excellent attention to detail
Strong social media understanding and regular interaction
Proven track record of planning and project management competencies 
Creative minded
Openness to new scenes, ideas, processes, innovation, and possibilities
Entrepreneurial spirit - Autonomous, self-starter with a focus on results and consumers
Adaptable – the ability to keep everything moving concurrently
