Associate Senior Writer – 12 month FTC - Maternity cover - 4 days a week
About DDB Remedy:

Through deep partnerships, smart strategy and applied creativity, we create exceptional experiences and communications. We make meaningful change in healthcare happen.
Our ethos? It Happens Here. It’s our promise, our challenge, and our invitation.
And if you’ve got potential to unlock, talent to unleash, and a desire to wow clients, we want to make it happen.
DDB Remedy. It Happens Here.
The opportunity:
As an Associate Senior Writer, you’re a key contributor and trusted team member. You’ll take day-to-day responsibility for the copy output of your team, and know when to escalate to a more senior writer or your line manager. You'll also support and mentor more junior writers, helping to build a culture of quality, creativity and learning.
You’ll partner with strategy and creative teams to craft content that is on-brand, medically accurate, and deeply engaging. You’ll bring clarity to complex scientific concepts and contribute to the strategic and creative direction of the work.
As your confidence and craft grow, so will your role — whether that’s leading presentations, owning brand messaging, or helping guide clients through challenging communication problems.
About you:
You bring both rigour and creativity to the table. You have a flair for transforming complex science into human-centred stories — and the confidence to champion ideas that push the work forward. You’re collaborative, grounded and articulate, with the judgement to know when to lead, when to support, and when to escalate.
You thrive in a fast-paced environment and know how to balance originality with regulatory and brand requirements. You value quality and consistency and you understand the impact great copy can have on patients, HCPs and clients alike.
What you’ll bring:
- A science degree or equivalent (unless pure creative writer)
- 4+ years’ experience in a healthcare agency writing role
- Outstanding writing, editing and proofreading skills
- Ability to lead projects and own content across a brand
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Calmness under pressure, with strong time and task management
- Experience responding to and incorporating feedback
- Desirable but not essential:
- Deep knowledge of the ABPI Code and global regulatory frameworks
Experience using Veeva and other referencing platforms
What we’ll need you to do:

- Demonstrate a passion for creativity and ideas
- Contribute to concept development and creative ideation
- Champion storytelling and creative thinking across content formats
- Collaborate with Art Directors, Designers and Strategists

- Provide motivation, guidance and feedback to junior writers
- Foster open, respectful dialogue across teams
- Collaborate cross-functionally and contribute to a supportive, inclusive culture
- Live the Four Freedoms (Freedom from Fear, Freedom to Fail, Freedom from Chaos, Freedom to Be) and inspire others to do the same
