Job Profile Summary:

Responsibility within Man for the lifecycle of Man’s investment products. Working across Man’s investment divisions on the development, governance and lifecycle management for all investment products. This role encompasses product design, implementation and the timely delivery of product lifecycle events, including launches, restructurings (commercially, operationally or legally driven) and closures, related to Man’s investment products. Awareness and implementation of product governance requirements is key.


Responsibilities:
  • Partner with senior stakeholders at Man to take the lead on discussions regarding the product design and structuring for new investment products (including pooled funds and client solutions) for one or more of Man’s investment divisions

  • Lead coordination of the product lifecycle events for one or more of Man’s investment divisions
  • Partner and interact effectively with other teams within Man (including senior management, portfolio management, Sales and operational teams) who are involved in product lifecycle events
  • Lead engagement and coordination with external counsel for fund related lifecycle events, including for both pooled funds and client solutions
  • Ensure each product lifecycle event correctly follows Man’s product governance process, seeking client, fund and management company board approvals as necessary
  • Complete executive summaries for new products or significant adaptations to existing products
  • Hold meetings throughout the various phases of a lifecycle event, as outlined in Man’s product governance framework (including kick-off, periodic catch-up, pre-go-live meetings, etc)
  • Maintain and update checklists, procedures and controls associated with product lifecycle events
  • Review and understand fund offering documentation
  • Support Sales responses to client requests around product specifications, including by drafting Product Proposals or coordinating stakeholder response to queries, where necessary
  • Be ‘product champion’ within the Global Product Management team for the products that you are launching, restructuring or closing, and share with the team information in relation to product development that is underway in relation to these products

Technical Competencies:
  • Excellent academic qualifications are essential
  • Background in Product Development / Management (2-6 years experience)
  • Strong interpersonal, stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Relevant experience will have been gained with a leading asset manager
  • Product development experience; strong technical knowledge of private markets products or UCITS 
  • Detailed understanding of a range of fund structures
