The Role

Reporting to the Manager, Revenue & AP Operations, this role works as part of the Revenue & AP Operations team to provide effective, efficient, and high-class financial services to the Lloyd’s Market, branches, and suppliers. The role combines revenue collection, accounts payable, and expense processing, ensuring all relevant controls are maintained and services are delivered accurately and on time

Principal Accountabilities

  • Day-to-day responsibility for recovery of Corporation revenue (£59m) and Lloyd’s Market charges (£11bn), including corporate real estate, technology revenue, taxation payments, Part VII transfers, overseas regulated trust funds, and income on behalf of third parties.

  • Liaise directly with the Lloyd’s Market, branches, subsidiaries, customers and suppliers regarding receipt and payment of invoices, queries on revenue, and accounts payable processes.

  • Process, recover, and challenge Corporation revenue, including analysis of billing data for accuracy.

  • Manage accounts payable processes, including registering/processing invoices, credit notes, reconciling statements, and ensuring regular payment runs for UK and Overseas are completed as scheduled.

  • Perform monthly reconciliations of balance sheet control accounts and maintain supplier banking details.

  • Maintain and develop the Lloyd’s Market Apportionment, Reporting and Collection System (ARCS) and Workday general ledger for both revenue and accounts payable functions.

  • Ensure controls are maintained for accurate, timely, and efficient processing, including authorisation rules and system authorities.

  • Review and update procedure manuals to ensure they are fit for purpose and published as appropriate.

  • Liaise with Trust Fund trustees, overseas reporting teams, and wider Lloyd’s Market contacts for regulatory adjustments and reporting.

  • Provide support across other Finance Operations teams as required, including training and assistance to Corporation departments and branches.

  • Understand business requirements with ability to analyse and generate pragmatic solutions.

  • Organisational skills with the ability to prioritise to meet tight deadlines. Attention to detail.

  • Communication skills, both oral and written.

  • Work independently within agreed procedures and practices.
