As an Associate Project Manager, you will provide client-side project management services, with a key focus on the Higher Education sector. You will play a key part during all stages of the project delivery lifecycle including; option studies, development of the design, procurement, construction (including NEC contract administration) and handover.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Working in the Higher Education sector with input to a number of our current key clients such as University of Plymouth, University of Exeter, and the University of Bristol.
  • Client-side project management, including stakeholder engagement, schedule and contract management
  • Be a primary interface with AECOM’s Higher Education clients (new and existing)
  • Develop strong collaborative relationships with clients, stakeholders and members of the multi-disciplinary project team
  • Lead in the delivery of Project Management commissions, taking responsibility for their successful outcome
  • Manage the efficient delivery of project management team outputs, in accordance with agreed timescales and quality standards
  • Oversee the co-ordination and sign-off of all reports and information produced by the project management team prior to issue
  • Provide line management and mentoring to all staff members reporting to you and ensure that they have current and relevant training
  • Participate in business development opportunities with existing and new clients, including cross-selling opportunities, ensuring that these are identified and acted upon

Qualifications

Ready to push the limits of what’s possible?

Here’s what we’re looking for:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Specific Higher Education project experience
  • Professional Qualified – ideally Project Management/ Engineering /Construction /Quantity Surveying Degree
  • Good working knowledge of NEC3 / NEC4 contracts or similar, combined with commercial awareness
  • Collaborative management skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Valid UK driving licence

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Chartered Status with either the ICE, RICS, CIOB, RIBA or other equivalent institution
  • APM affiliation preferred (as secondary accreditation)
  • NEC3 / NEC4 Accredited PM preferred
