The Team

The Unsecured Personal Loans team looks after one of Zopa’s core products and a core driver of the business. It is a mature, commercially significant area with sophisticated in house technology that powers the full lending journey, from deciding who we lend to, through to servicing loans accurately once they are live.

This Associate Product Manager role sits at the heart of Zopa’s lending platform, working across key systems that support how we lend and manage loans. You’ll partner closely with engineers and a wide group of stakeholders to deliver improvements across billing and decisioning, helping Zopa build products that are robust, scalable and ready for the next stage of growth.

It’s a great role for someone who enjoys product work in a complex, fast moving environment, where there’s real breadth and impact. You’ll join a team where the work is meaningful, varied and directly connected to how Zopa operates at scale.

A day in the life:

  • You’ll support the delivery of product initiatives from discovery through to launch, helping turn problems into clear, actionable plans
    • You’ll work closely with engineering, design and other stakeholders to shape solutions and keep delivery moving

    • You’ll help gather requirements, clarify priorities and make sure teams are aligned on what needs to happen and why

    • You’ll contribute to backlog management, planning and day to day coordination across product work

    • You’ll spot gaps, ask good questions and help bring structure to ambiguous problems

    • You’ll support product decisions by considering customer needs, business goals and technical constraints

    • You’ll work across a range of initiatives, contributing to improvements in product experience, internal processes or platform capabilities

    • You’ll build a strong understanding of your product area and use data, feedback and collaboration to help improve it over time

About you:

    • You have some experience working in product, or in a closely related role with clear exposure to product and technology teams

    • You’ve worked with cross functional teams to help deliver projects, features or product improvements

    • You’re comfortable working with engineers and can engage confidently in conversations about how things work

    • You have solid product fundamentals and enjoy solving problems in a structured, practical way

    • You can gather information, understand stakeholder needs and help turn them into clear next steps

    • You’re organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple moving parts

    • You’re curious, adaptable and willing to get stuck into the detail when needed

    • You think carefully about impact, trade offs and what will create the most value

    • You’re keen to keep learning and are looking for a role where you can grow with support from experienced product leaders

    • You’re ready for a role with ownership, variety and the chance to make a meaningful contribution

Added bonus

    • Experience working in a finance or regulated industry

    • Exposure to technical, platform or operational products

At Zopa we value flexible ways of working.
We value face-to-face collaboration and a good work-life balance. This hybrid role requires you to come to our London office 2-3 days a week.

You'll also have the option of working from abroad for up to 120 days a year!* But no matter where you are, we’ll make sure you’ve got everything you need to thrive, both in your work and home life, from day one.

*Subject to having the right to work in the country of choice
