Join Cushman & Wakefield EMEA Portfolio Strategy team! An international team, based in London, Budapest & Amsterdam, specialising in shaping the future of our client’s global office footprint, addressing strategic questions at the fusion of business, demographics and real estate such as: 

What is the optimal portfolio based on cost, talent, real estate, market risks and business objectives? What opportunities exist to release capital / reduce operating cost? What organisational structure is required to support the real estate portfolio?

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual, for a full-time role. As an Associate you will be actively involved in all aspects of leading and delivering Portfolio Strategy services to clients, from business development, proposal development through to managing projects and final deliverables. You will also play a leading role in broader business development, research and events. This is an opportunity to develop a thriving career within global real estate

The role’s technical focus is to drive all aspects of strategic portfolio management, including helping clients optimising existing business portfolios and identifying hidden opportunities to improve efficiencies within their real estate model.

Experience and Skills

• Proven track record in business development and client project leadership
• Commercially astute across projects and practice
• Ability to think strategically and creatively, to articulate client challenges and 
demonstrate how the real estate portfolio strategy can address these 
• Strong data analytical skills, ability to distinguish the emerging themes from 
data/research material to present in an innovative, visual and concise way
• Excellent verbal and visual communication, presentation and writing skills 
• Excellent skills in interpreting and presenting data
• Articulate with the ability to lead and contribute to thought leadership and research articles.
• Ability to lead proposal writing, description of services and associated modelling of programme and fees. Proactive in with oversight only from Partners on large scale proposals and client pitches
• Confident in presenting and supporting Partners on client communications, preparation and facilitation of senior level client interviews, workshops and presentations 
• Ability to manage medium to large scale projects including leading commercial aspect, quality of content, managing client expectations, relationships and new opportunities
• Working with account leads and supported by a Partner to drive Portfolio Strategy projects across geographies. 
• Motivated to work as an individual and across a connected international team. 
• Network externally at events, raise profile of C&W capability and recognition in the local market, remain up to date on industry sector trend and challenges
• Work with and learn from other service lines across C&W to fully comprehend the holistic C&W offering to global clients and deliver great business outcomes

Qualifications

• 6+ years industry experience on strategic real estate portfolio management, including real estate portfolios optimisation, transformation, and metro strategies
• Experience in the management consulting industry or in a consulting role
• First degree and/or post graduate degree in relevant subject (this could include Real Estate, Economics, Finance, etc)
• Strong knowledge of the UK real estate market, and English language fluency
• Member of the RICS not essential but would be a benefit.
