Job Description

The Opportunity

A once in a lifetime opportunity to be part of the team that will establish our in-house PR team in the UK as part of the EMEA comms group. Reporting to the Acting PR Manager, we are looking for a maternity cover PR Associate Manager UK & EMEA , who has strong experience in consumer led campaigns and understanding of the EMEA media landscape. The applicant must be experienced in activating and leading successful, high profile campaigns for a busy, fast-paced PR team. Beneficial to the role would be experience in working with EMEA and global teams and parceling  PR strategies to other EMEA markets in a hub and spoke model.

What Your Impact Will Be:

  • Working directly with the Acting PR Manager, strategising, leading and executing first class integrated brand PR campaigns for UK market, with creative frameworks and concepts that can be used in the rest of the EMEA markets.
  • Strong media relations in the UK for brand announcements and campaigns
  • Together with wider team, acts as hub for creative, messaging, assets and materials for rest of EMEA driving best practice and efficiencies
  • Approval point person for regional EMEA press materials
  • Write UK based press materials and develop asset creation for UK campaigns
  • Leads and executes UK media relation days integrating influencer outreach as part of plans
  • Build and maintain key external media stakeholder relationships, including regular contact with consumer, lifestyle reporters and key UK partners such as charities.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

  • 5 -7 years of experience working with PR agencies, in-house teams at FMCG companies, and global brands across sectors such as fashion, lifestyle, beauty, and automotive.
  • Strong UK media relations experience with good contacts in UK media
  • Experience in leading or supporting franchise led campaigns
  • Project Management experience
  • Excellent media and industry contacts
  • Digitally savvy including influencer experience
  • Incredible communication skills, willing to collaborate and create a working environment true to the Mattel values
  • Some travel may be necessary as part of role
