Who we are:
The UK GL Accounting team run the day-to-day accounting tasks for the EMEA region. We are a team of qualified and part qualified accountants, that primarily support the US GAAP month end close for group consolidation purposes while also supporting Payroll, AP, AR, local compliance and tax requirements.
What you will do:

  • Responsible for month-end close reporting under US GAAP ensuring all reporting deadlines and internal controls are met;
  • Approve month-end journals, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis and supporting documentation prepared by qualified/part qualified accountants;
  • Analysis of monthly and quarterly figures for group consolidation purposes. 
  • Dealing with working capital management and production of cash flow forecasts
  • Maintain and update monthly task lists and tracking schedules;
  • Support, mentor and train direct reports.
  • Support the tax team in preparation of VAT and related returns;
  • Support the compliance team in preparation of local currency statutory reports, including schedules for statutory and audit purposes;
  • Drive the continuous improvement of end-to-end accounting practices.
  • Participation in other ad-hoc accounting projects as required;

Who you are:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or similar);
  • Ability to delegate and manage the work of others;
  • Demonstrate good judgement and ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities;
  • Self-motivated with an analytical mindset and good numerical skills;
  • Able to work under pressure whilst still maintaining attention to detail;
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel;
  • Advantageous prior experience with multi-currency accounting; 
  • Advantageous knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS
  • Advantageous experience working with listed companies;
  • Advantageous experience working with ERP systems, preferably Oracle Cloud;
