You will report to the General Counsel and will be working with a small legal team to support the commercial sales team, partner teams, and procurement activities of the company on a global level. In addition to negotiating and drafting a suite of agreements you will have the opportunity to assist in creating and improving commercial and procurement processes. The role . . .

  • Front line legal counsel for drafting, negotiating, and advising on a variety of technology transactions (both inbound and outbound) agreements for the US, EMEA, and APAC regions
  • Provide commercial contracting support, including for data and privacy issues, and serve as a point of escalation for various agreements ranging from day-to-day operational agreements, terms of service (including discount, rebate, referral, and other non-standard sales agreements), SOWs, and NDAs
  • Advise product, business development, sales, marketing, engineering, IT, customer service, and other teams on a full range of issues related to commercial contracting and sales
  • Leverage your expertise by creating, maintaining, and conducting effective legal training and actionable written guidelines for the business
  • Assist in maintaining the legal department's internal webpage and cross departmental communications
  • Assist in improving contract management workflows inside contract management software
  • Act as a utility player and work across a variety of projects and teams

The ideal candidate . . .

  • Law degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years PQE (post qualified experience) as a qualified solicitor 
  • Able to take a commercial, balanced approach to risk management and compliance
  • Excited about learning new things and developing their knowledge, understanding and experience, in both legal and business matters;
  • Experienced as a solicitor, preferably in corporate/commercial, and ideally with in house experience (global experience is a plus)
  • Experienced in SaaS contracting and negotiations
  • A team player that enjoys working collaboratively and is capable of working and managing projects autonomously; and is organised, productive and efficient.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and can quickly build trusted relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation.
