We’re thrilled to introduce the role of Associate Director, Video & Motion to our Creative team. You’re likely someone with a deep background in video editing, motion graphics, and type animation. You also have experience and success with client management, mentoring junior Editors, and leading creative engagements successfully.

As a core member of our Creative team, you’ll manage a team of 4+ Video Editors and ensure that video and motion engagements are delivered on-time and at a high bar of creative quality. In this role, you’ll report to the Director, Creative and work alongside 3+ other Associate Directors.

You’ll use your strong video, motion, and design background to be an advocate for our creative processes and philosophy, and provide feedback to your direct reports to develop their skillsets across paid ads, organic content, branded videos, and motion design. Your main focus will be people management, with the flexibility to engage in 1-2 hands-on engagements.

We’re looking for a candidate with deep experience in creating “thumb-stopping” video ads that convert customers, and to apply this experience to the management and development of junior Editors. A strong candidate has a best-in-class visual eye, deep Premiere and After Effects expertise, and direct experience with managing Editors.

This is a fully remote role operating in the EST Time Zone and all business is conducted 100% in English. Open to candidates in the following locations: Brazil, Portugal, and Spain.

Management Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of 4+ Video Editors, and provide support in advanced motion and editing techniques, creative and art direction, project management, feedback, and performance evaluation.

  • Provide art direction on design fundamentals including typography, color, layout, hierarchy, composition, and pacing.

  • Conduct weekly 1:1s with direct reports to assess client health, provide project feedback, and assist in managing client relationships.

  • Ensure high-quality work output from our direct reports, helping them develop content with strong hooks and thumb-stopping edits that meet deadlines and convert customers.

  • Stay current on major social media platforms, ad trends, editing tools, and best practices.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketers, strategists, and clients, to develop project plans, understand business objectives, and address client issues.

  • Refine internal processes for client work in coordination with the Director, Creative. Provide training and feedback to enhance the skills of the Editing team.

Senior Individual Contributor Responsibilities:

  • Lead 1-2 creative engagements as needed, focused on the design-to-editing pipeline, art directing and editing high-quality video content for paid advertisements, organic social media, and other formats, in collaboration with a Designer.

  • Select and trim footage, add transitions and effects, and incorporate music and sound effects.

  • Brainstorm fresh edits and hooks that drive engagement, leveraging new formats and creative tests.

  • Be a strong creative collaborator to clients by conceptualizing frame styles, and art directing storyboards for motion design projects.

  • Obtain buy-in and approval from internal teams and clients on video directions within a fast-paced environment.

  • Be comfortable taking editing direction from other team members while working in a fast paced environment.

You Should Apply if this Sounds Like You:

  • 3-5+ years of senior-level video editing experience, with at least 1 year of people management experience preferred. Must have experience in directly producing short-form video content that sparks engagement.

  • Experience editing and revising content for a brand and creating influencer marketing/UGC content.

  • Reel or video examples showcasing strong editing, motion graphic design, type animation, and audio mixing skills.

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment, managing client-facing responsibilities in English, including leading discovery calls and resolving client feedback.

  • Capable of providing constructive internal feedback and guiding direct reports to improve their work.

  • Expertise with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, Media Encoder, Photoshop, Illustrator) is required.

  • Proficiency in Figma for storyboarding is essential.

  • Exceptional time management and organization skills with the ability to manage deliverables across an array of brands and timelines.
