Job Overview - Associate Director - Corporate Communications

Job Description

Working under the direction of the Director, Enterprise Internal Communications, the Associate Director will play a strong role in helping set the strategic direction of IQVIA internal communications in line with corporate goals and objectives. A significant portion of this role involves executing deliverables to help meet the internal communication needs of key partners and internal stakeholders.

Essential Functions
•    Provide strategic communications counsel to business leaders and internal stakeholders. Partner with them to build communication plans to increase the understanding of corporate vision and brand, business strategies and corporate initiatives.
•    Partner with business leaders and stakeholders to understand required communications support; provide counsel and recommendations; plans to increase the understanding of corporate vision and brand, business strategies and corporate initiatives.
•    Develop and implement communications plans and annual content strategy; provide recommendations on implementation including processes and tools. 
•    Write, edit and distribute internal messages outlining business strategy, initiative updates, structural or personnel changes, processes and procedures. 
•    Support any needed communications to respond to real-time business needs and urgent issues.
•    Plan, design content and manage Town Halls and information sharing meetings.
•    Produce and edit podcast and video series 
•    Craft and publish monthly newsletters; reinforce messages by developing and posting stories and content on IQVIA internal social media platform. 
•    Maintain self-serve communications tools (e.g. branded email templates, communications best practices) to help leaders draft their own communications.
•    Establish and share engagement metrics to demonstrate communications impact.
•    Monitor communications performance trends and make recommendations to enhance performance or increase impact.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:
•    Degree in Communication, Journalism, or related field and 7-10 years of experience in corporate communications, including internal communications or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

•    Previous experience of working in either Healthcare / Life Science / Regulated environment .
•    Excellent written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills.
•    Strong experience and interest in a variety of communications disciplines, including internal communications, social media (digital savvy) and change management communications.
•    Understanding of communication strategy and ability to tailor content based on audience, message, medium, timeliness, and call to action. 
•    Ability to work one-on-one with business leaders and partners on internal communications projects and provide communications advice and execution support throughout the process.
•    Ability to write about complex topics in a simple, easy to understand manner.
•    Strong project and time management skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently and meet deadlines. 
•    Able to work with minimal supervision, assume responsibility and be accountable.
•    Excellent customer service skills.
•    Strong team ethic and collaborative work style.
•    Proactive, resourcefulness and adaptive to business needs.
