JOB TITLE: Associate Director- Infrastructure and Project Finance
LOCATION: London
HOURS: Full Time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least three days per week or 60% of our time, at our London office.

About this opportunity

Do you want to join an award winning and market leading team in the Infrastructure & Project Finance (I&PF) space? If so, we currently have a great opportunity for an Associate Director to join our London based team.

You'll take the lead in complex infrastructure and project finance deals across multiple sectors and play a crucial role in the deal team, initiating new transactions, building relationships with clients (Corporate clients, Financial sponsors, Advisors) and the lending community as well as overseeing flawless deal execution

What you'll be doing:

  • Origination of I&PF debt and hedging transactions that support the core Lloyds Bank infrastructure franchise, using (i) the Bank’s balance sheet including loan syndications, (2) our Scottish Widows’ balance sheet (part of Lloyds Banking Group), or 3) as a trusted debt advisor for our key clients.
  • Excellence in execution of deals ensuring alignment with product partners (syndication, bonds, private placements, hedging, agency, transaction banking/deposits.
  • Research future opportunities / contribute to wider I&PF strategy
  • Build relationships with Lloyds Bank’s client and the Advisor community in order to enhance the Bank and Group’s reputation and propose procurement of new business in line with agreed business plans.
  • Prepare credit/investment committee applications, internal reports and marketing material.
  • Manage the documentation and due diligence process for transactions.

What we need from you?

  • Extensive knowledge of the infrastructure sector, with a project finance angle.
  • Evidence of relevant execution experience (lending and debt advisory) with a proven track record of consistent performance.
  • Skill in building relationships with clients to generate new business, preferably with a pre-existing network
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and across different audiences
  • Ability to deal with sophisticated financial models (strong Excel skills are required); project finance modelling skills are a plus.

This role is considered Certified under the Senior Manager and Certification Regime as either requiring mandatory qualifications or being deemed as a role capable of providing ‘significant harm’ to customers. Due to this, successful candidates will be subject to enhanced levels of vetting, and required to complete a fitness and propriety attestation on commencement in role. Colleagues performing this role will be required to be complete a fitness and propriety attestation on an annual basis and will also be subject to additional routine criminal and credit checks

This role has been identified as a Client-dealing function under SYSC 27.8.18R as defined in the FCA Handbook
The Person  (“P”) performs the client-dealing FCA certification function for a firm if:(1)  P is carrying out any of the activities in the table in SYSC 27.8.19R; and(2)  those activities will involve P dealing with:(a) a person with or for whom those activities are carried out; or(b) the property of any such person;in a manner substantially connected with the carrying on of regulated activities by the firm.
If you manage certified colleagues this role will be identified as Manager of certification employees under SYSC 27.8.13R as defined in the FCA Handbook(1) The function of managing or supervising a certification employee, directly or indirectly, is an FCA-specified significant-harm function.(2) A function in (1) is not an FCA certification function for that firm if it is performed by an SMF manager of that firm.
