The Role

The Associate Director Implementation role has global responsibility for the successful operational implementation across all IFM domestic and global asset classes of new products, restructures, closures, complex transitions and operating models across Operations, Date & Technology (ODT).

The role is responsible to the Executive Director and Director of the Implementation Team and will work closely with key stakeholders to ensure that IFM drives consistency and best in class implementation across all products with the objective of seamless integration resulting in positive client experiences.

The Implementation Associate Director will be a seasoned leader with strong stakeholder management presence and the ability to consult and influence clients and senior management.

 

Specific areas of responsibility include:

  • Plan, co-ordinate and project manage the delivery of new product, restructure, closure, transition and operating model design activities across operations end-to-end, including operational vendor appointments and onboardings.
  • Engage in internal and external client discussions and relationships management activities as required to understand client needs.
  • Liaise with and co-ordinate custodians, administrators, depositories, investment managers and other external stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely completion of implementation activities.
  • Ensure appropriate levels of governance, oversight and vendor relationship management are applied to all implementation activities.
  • Facilitate information provision to internal and external stakeholders, including decision making committees to help ensure no additional risk to the management of client assets during the implementation.
  • Train, develop and guide staff to promote collaboration and continuous improvement.

 

Strategic Planning

  • Enhance the IFM Investors brand experience and deliver to plan.
  • Build and deepen genuine and effective relationships across the stakeholder group.
  • Proactively manages the Implementations schedule
  • Demonstrates proactive issue management and a client centric approach to issue management & resolution.

Business Performance

  • Supports the team’s efforts in achieving business and team goals.
  • Introduces an appropriate level of commercial rigor and process discipline to IFM Investors that helps liberate other parts of the business on focusing on their core activity

 

Policy and Process Management

  • Work closely with relevant stakeholders to develop appropriate frameworks to support the efficient and seamless delivery of IFM related products.


Your Background and Experience

  • 10 plus years in Financial Services, with specific technical knowledge of Fund Accounting and Unit Pricing, Investment Administration & Custody Operations across private investment global products. 
  • Experience in service provider appointment and management.
  • Preferred 3 plus years in a direct investment product Implementation / Transition Management or Project Management role, with a proven track record.
  • Tertiary qualifications in commerce, economics, finance or related field.
  • Detailed understanding and knowledge of IFM Investors’ investment process.
  • Sound market knowledge.
  • Strong Stakeholder management skills.
  • Business acumen, financial metrics and key performance drivers.
  • Detailed understanding and knowledge of IFM Investors’ investment process.

  • High level numerical skills required.
