Job Description
What's on the Menu:
This position reports directly into the Global Head of Brand Communications and Creativity for Heinz. The Associate Director, Global Heinz Brand Communications and Creativity is responsible for accelerating Heinz brand growth around the world by driving and influencing all aspects of global brand communications & creativity - ultimately building one of the world's most iconic, distinctive and culturally relevant brands through scaled creative impact. This position is responsible for driving the total creative ambition for the Heinz brand globally, owning the global core creative idea and development of global campaigns, owning and governing the global visual brand identity, and consulting on locally led communication strategies and creative - all in strong partnership with local Heinz leaders across key design markets and world class agency partners. As a leader of the global Heinz community at Kraft Heinz, the Associate Director will help write the recipe for making the Heinz master-brand the most irresistible food brand in the world.
Key Ingredients:

  • Guide future Creative Vision and Ambition for the brand - build and lead the development of the global creative ambition, goals and roadmap for the global marketing organization, to deliver against accelerated topline growth goals in the 10-year plan. Inspire global marketing community to set the standard in driving creative effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Lead Global Core Creative Idea & Visual Brand Identity Guidance - build, sharpen and deepen our continuously growing playbook for the brand's core creative idea and brand identity in partnership with world class agency partners. Ensure playbooks are fit-for-use, leveraged effectively by local marketers and drive towards a consistent and unified brand experience all around the world.
  • Lead Development of Global Campaigns - using global brand strategy and 'Jobs to be Done', develop global brand communication strategy and define creative briefs for global campaigns. Be responsible for the process start to finish: from writing brief, aligning on idea and translating into execution alongside global toolkit deployment for adaptation at country level.
  • Scale & De-duplicate Creative Ideas for impact - collaborate and influence Heinz marketing leaders across global zones to identify insights and ideas that have opportunity to scale across multiple markets for maximum impact
  • Act as Strategic and Creative Advisor to Zone & Country Teams - drive creative leadership and guidance with the markets on locally-led work to raise the creative floor and deliver best in class work that moves the business performance and distinction for Heinz.
  • Inspire and Build Global Best Practices for markets that enable accelerated business growth and deliver best in class creative outcomes in Cannes & Effies.
  • Influence Heinz Brand Strategic Planning process against 1 & 3-year cycles as a core team member and consultant in key priority markets.


Recipe for Success: Apply if it sounds like you

  • A minimum eight (8+) years of brand building experience is required
  • Advanced Degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Experience building iconic, global brands with a clear strategy & purpose
  • Strong leadership credentials in building vision & working towards clear action / results
  • High degree of emotional intelligence and ability to build effective & influential working relationships
  • High level of tolerance for working in ambiguity, leading change and driving transformation
  • Proficient in all 'client-side' aspects of Brand Communications - communication strategy development, brief writing, agency management, creative process oversight, production, media planning and execution, etc.
  • Proficient at storytelling in creative, influential & impactful ways - excellent communication, organization and presentation skills (written, oral, and across Microsoft Office Suite)
