Role: Associate Creative Director

Location: London, England, United Kingdom

About the role:

In the role of Associate Creative Director you work alongside a team of talented designers and other writers to create work across all mediums for products, services and campaigns in Europe. You are passionate about Apple products and the brand and your work will influence customers worldwide.

What you will be doing:
  • You have extensive experience concepting, creatively directing, writing copy and producing major marketing, communication or advertising campaigns, ideally from an agency or brand-side advertising background.
  • That work is grounded in big, bold, original ideas, executed with impeccable craft and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Beyond conceptual campaigns, you are equally strong at functional body copy — product messaging, web content, retail copy, and translating complex information into clear, compelling narratives.
  • You have produced work in various areas including branding, tone of voice, conceptual campaigns, advertising, social media, product launches, film, retail, websites and DMs.
  • You are passionate about creating excellent writing that is thoughtful, meaningful, provocative at times, clear and inspiring.
  • You are used to working proactively in a creative and dynamic environment. You are organised with exceptional attention to detail, and able to interrogate briefs and do your own research to present the most compelling and impactful creative solution.
  • You have an eye for great writing and the ability to create a powerful story through the work.
  • A brilliant, multi-skilled English writer — you love coming up with a clever, concise headline as much as you enjoy crafting a well-honed paragraph of body copy or a script for a social animation.
  • A strategic writer — you understand the importance of hierarchy in messaging and can organise and structure multiple strands of information into a cohesive and compelling narrative. You can also translate complex technical language into easy-to-understand copy.
What you need to be great in this role:
  • Collaborates with ACD/Art Directors/other team members to concept ideas and produce quality work for the Apple brand and products.
  • Presents work to senior creative staff, product marketing managers, and Apple executives.
  • Works across subject areas to integrated strategies and messaging for online, retail, channel, events, advertising and new mediums of communication.
  • Works with project managers and creative directors to ensure that schedules are accurate and realistic, and that deadlines are met.
  • Helps mentor and develop more junior creative team members.
