Role Title: Associate Commercial Analyst
Reports to: Commercial Operations Manager
Location: Hybrid working environment (Remote and Paddington, London)
Role Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Role OverVIOOH 

The Supply and Demand teams are looking for an Associate Commercial Analyst who will support the sales team in their aim to grow the company's revenue. In this role, you will partner closely with the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) as well as with the wider sales and marketing teams. They will also liaise with finance on a regular basis. As a critical thinker and trusted thought partner, you will enable leadership to make analytically-driven strategic decisions and help increase revenue potential for the business. 

The role will entail developing sales strategy, analysing business performance, improving sales efficiency through automation, and doing business performance analysis to identify short and long term business growth opportunities across the Globe. This will include using a CRM system, creating and managing reports that both scrutinise and verify the current commercial strategy, as well as suggesting new areas of focus. 

The ideal candidate will be passionate about media and advertising technology, and in particular, the outdoor market. Intellectually curious, able to work independently, comfortable with ambiguity, a fast learner, and able to move fast while keeping focused on high impact projects are all key requirements. This is a full-time position located in the VIOOH London office but with a Global remit. 


What we’ll expect from you

Operations

  • Support on core sales operations processes and reports for the team, maintaining key reports from our CRM system, and bettering them
  • Support the Commercial Operations Manager on new analysis and insights as we drive to a Global ‘data and analysis’ support role for our partners
  • Support on operational reviews and business analytics to drive decision-making and review progress on goals and priorities (e.g. monthly/quarterly business reviews for our key clients) 
  • Support commercial meetings and facilitate alignment on key issues and opportunities via numbers and data analysis 
  • Support weekly trading meetings, using numbers and data to drive and verify progress, goals and aims 
  • Support and conduct business research and analysis and provide actionable insights for senior leadership to support decision-making (e.g. revenue, customer, market insights) 
  • Oversee the maintenance and review of commercial reports and documents and business requirements for reporting with all clients 
  • Identify areas of process improvement and build plans for teams to improve 
  • Work closely with internal communications teams to ensure leadership is communicating constantly and transparently within the team and across VIOOH 
  • Work on ad hoc data projects, often needed high level meetings i.e revenue per customer or similar trend reports

Strategic Planning 

  • Drive CRM adoption, team ownership and best practises via report analysis, creation and betterment including automation
  • Frame decisions and contribute a strong point of view on how to grow the business, born from data analysis
  • Be the person that can connect the dots between teams to identify areas for improvement, efficiency, and collaboration, primarily when looking at sales numbers, results, forecasts, etc. 
  • Support on go-to-market strategies, with team members, for new markets, products or verticals, from a numbers analysis and forecasting perspective 
  • Create and enhance reports, dashboards, analysis and insights that help drive a disciplined commercial rigour across the two teams 
  • Stay up-to-date with trends in the industry, including knowledge of current/potential partners, collating and presenting this to the team regularly 

What we want from you 

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, business or other relevant/quantitative disciplines
    1+ years of experience in strategic planning, sales/business operations, or marketing operations, preferably in the digital media space 
  • Expertise in the digital advertising industry 
  • Distinctive problem solving and analytical skills, with a proven track record of driving projects from strategy to execution 
  • Experience and familiarity with CRM tools like Hubspot 
  • Superior Excel and Powerpoint skills 

Preferred but not essential

  • Professional background at a leading ad tech, consulting or media business
  • Expertise in the Ad Tech industry
  • Demonstrable experience working cross-functionally with leadership in developing and executing successful plans 
  • Change management experience is a plus 
  • SQL experience a plus
