The Senior Consulting Actuary role involves supporting clients with internal model validation and capital modelling, managing the General Insurance team, and driving business development.
We have a great opportunity for a Senior Consulting Actuary to join our Insurance and Longevity Consulting (ILC) team.
This is a permanent role based in our central London office working on a hybrid basis
Snapshot of your day:
- The role will primarily focus on supporting our clients in the internal model validation and capital modelling space
- You will be responsible for managing the General Insurance team as well as helping drive business development and growth
- You will be part of the ILC management team
- Effectively communicating with stakeholders both internally and externally as well as with regulators
- Familiar with the required regulations for capital modelling and validation under Lloyd’s
- Keeping up with the latest trends and development in the market
- Implementing the strategy of the team
We would love to hear from you if you have:
- Qualified actuary with experience in General Insurance
- Experience of internal model validation within the Lloyd’s market
- Hands on experience in capital modelling, R and/or Python would be advantageous as would any experience of validating internal models outside of the Lloyd’s market
- Networking experience and confident in speaking at internal and external events
- Highly organised – you have the ability to work on multiple clients and tasks and meet deadlines
