Group Summary:
The Mechatronics, Mirrors and Lighting group specializes in automotive technologies that are driving the future of mobility. Combining a deep systems knowledge to develop unique vehicle access experiences, intelligent visions systems and advanced automotive lighting technologies, MML's expertise light the path to innovation, safety and styling.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality control systems and procedures.
- Monitor and analyze production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and implement measures to improve customer satisfaction and product quality.
- Conduct regular internal audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement.
- Assist in preparing for external audits and ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
- Investigate and resolve quality-related issues and non-conformances.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and other departments to implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality documentation, including inspection records, audit reports, and corrective action plans.
- Prepare and present quality reports to management.
- Assist in training employees on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and quality awareness throughout the organization.
- Work with suppliers to ensure that incoming materials meet quality specifications and conduct supplier audits and assessments as needed.
Qualifications:
- Technologist/Technician Diploma in Engineering required.
- Certification as an CQE would be an asset.
- 1 - 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment required, preferably in automotive manufacturing.
- Proficiency in quality control tools and techniques; including knowledge of quality management systems, as well as design output, metrology and instrumentation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Working Conditions:
- The role may require occasional travel to supplier sites and other company locations.
- Work is typically performed in a manufacturing environment, which may involve exposure to noise, chemicals, and other industrial hazards.
