The Role:
As an Assistant Planner, you will have a focus on; working closely and within Group Planning and cross functionally (with Merchandising, Sourcing, Product Development, and Commercial teams.) Ideal candidate will be an analytical thinker with a strong attention for detail and a love of retail and merchandise. As an Assistant Planner, you will work independently to deliver a production plan while also collaborating within Group Planning and cross functional teams.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Develop a production plan by SKU for release, based on forecasting and data analysis from the demand plan
· Compiling, communicating, and monitoring; planning critical path for seasonal production
· Validating supply and demand to ensure planned fulfilment is maximised across all sales Channels/Regions, supporting allocation planning for key launches and contingency scenarios wherever necessary
· Validate group stock levels and report future stock positions to ensure group stocks are managed responsibly
· Management of the Free-To-Sell model and minimising oversold items, reviewing shipping priorities/options
· Support special projects/initiatives across all product divisions collections wherever necessary
Corporate Department General Duties:
· Prepare, issue and maintain the Reporting Suite to the business on a Daily/Weekly/Monthly basis
· Support S&OP meetings; drive positive change culture within the business
· Develop new reports as required by the business/department
· Ensure the integrity of Prima (ERP) and Business Objects (Analysis Tool)

Team:
· Work collaboratively with all key stakeholders.
· Support for the Group Planning Department with ad hoc tasks where appropriate.
Skills and Experience Required:
· Computer literate with excellent knowledge of Excel.
· Significant experience working in planning, sourcing, or buying & merchandising.
· Proven ability to understand and analyse large amounts of data ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
· Proven ability to structure technical/complex information, such as analytical briefs, to ensure stakeholders understand the key message/s.
· Excellent inter-personal skills, and ability to communicate and influence all levels of the business – translating analytical briefs into commercial insights
· Excellent prioritisation skills with the proven ability to adopt a flexible approach to work and adapt plans quickly and effectively ensuring deadlines are met.
· Able to assume responsibility for tasks and workload, and work using own initiative.
· A desire to take on more responsibility and develop the role.
Other:
- Travel between our London and Somerset sites will be required to ensure collaborative working with key stakeholders.
