Prepare fully reconciled monthly and year-end P&L and balance sheet accounts for depot sites; support management accountants; investigate depot accounting queries; liaise with auditors; contribute to central finance projects (vehicle leasing, utilities, Capex) and provide financial input to depot management.

- Supporting 1 or 2 Management Accountants – who each have responsibility for 2 sites’/depots’ accounts (turnover of these range between £10m-£50m)
- With experience (typically 12 months) sole responsibility for 1 small site/depot’s accounts
- Then becoming an active member of depot management team, providing financial input and support. Liaising and dealing with all depot accounting queries/problems. Ad-hoc investigation work at depots
- Producing fully reconciled monthly and year-end accounts (P&L and Balance Sheet) in accordance with agreed timetables
- Providing help and assistance to other colleagues within the team and working with the wider Finance Team
- Central finance tasks/projects e.g. vehicle leasing, utilities, Capex analysis etc.
- Coordinating with auditors (both internal and external)
- Studying towards recognised Professional Accounting Qualification (such as CIMA or ACCA)
- Either from Industry or Practice
- Good level of IT skills - Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Excel skills – ideally Pivot Tables, Lookups
- Good communicator
- Attention to detail
- Team player
- Preparation and interpretation of management accounts
- Industry experience
