Job Description

Northern Data Group is at the forefront of the technology industry, providing high-performance computing (HPC) solutions and infrastructure that power the next generation of AI, blockchain, and cloud services. We are looking for a Assistant Financial Accountant to support our end to end accounting across Northern Data. Reporting to the Finance Manager EU, and working closely with the Financial Accountants, this role helps maintain accurate financial records and contributes to improving processes, controls and reconciliations.

This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring assistant Financial Accountant to join a dynamic and innovative team in the technology industry with the opportunity to progress to a fully qualified Financial Accountant. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare bi-weekly and monthly payroll journals in SAP across all entities within the Group
  • Work with the HR team to perform accounting Payroll reconciliations across all entities within the Group
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of payment of wages, deductions, and benefits and associated payroll liabilities
  • Generate payroll reports and analysis as required
  • Support on other month-end and year end close tasks
  • Support on group and local statutory audits
  • Assist the Finance Manager and Financial Accountants on group reporting deliverables, detailed balance sheet reconciliations (bank, prepayment, accruals etc) and special ad-hoc projects, as required

YOUR EXPERIENCE:

  • Part qualified/ active progression towards a recognised qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent)
  • Month-end reporting experience – Essential
  • SAP/S4 Hana – Preferred
  • Strong excel skills (SUMIFs/Pivots/VLOOKUPS), with knowledge of Microsoft products
  • Comfortable working in a high-growth, fast-paced environment, and managing multiple priorities
  • Attention to detail and strong communication skills
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to continuous improvement
  • Must be a team player/collaborative individual with a can-do attitude
  • Interest in AI industry and technology sector
  • Hybrid role with 2-3 days in the office
