Job Description

The Assistant Finance Manager will oversee daily accounting and financial operations. This role will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of financial reports, managing accounts payable and receivable, conducting reconciliations & month-end closing and to ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a solid foundation in accounting principles, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting & Analysis:
    • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
    • Analyze financial data to identify trends and variances, providing actionable insights to management.
    • Support forecasting, and variance analysis to ensure accurate financial planning.
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable:
    • Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
    • Review and verify vendor invoices and payment requests for accuracy.
    • Conduct regular reconciliations of accounts to maintain accuracy and completeness.
  • Audit & Compliance:
    • Support audit processes by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, IFRS, and other regulatory standards.
    • Help implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify and recommend process improvements to streamline accounting operations and enhance efficiency.
    • Assist in the implementation of financial software tools and automated processes as needed.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Work closely with other departments (e.g., Sales, Operations) to provide financial support and insights.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Accountant, Degree holder in Accounting or Finance disciplines.
  • 5+ years of experience in finance and accounting, preferably in a trading or retail environment.
  • Sound knowledge in the latest accounting standards and taxation reporting requirements in Hong Kong and overseas offices.
  • Strong Proficient in Excel and able to manage automation processes to streamline tasks and improve efficiency.
  • Bilingual, with fluency in both English and Chinese.
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Dynamics Business Central is an advantage.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
