Job Description

The Team

Our Design Team plays a pivotal role in shaping ASOS as the go-to fashion destination for style-conscious 20-somethings across womenswear and menswear. Driven by creativity and innovation, our designers draw inspiration from global trends, street style, vintage finds, music, art, and the runway to create fresh, exciting collections that reflect the diverse tastes of our customers.

We’re passionate about newness and originality, designing standout pieces that resonate with our audience, whatever their style. Our team thrives on pushing boundaries, crafting ranges that are bold, relevant, and inclusive, while staying true to the ASOS spirit.

What You’ll be Doing...

  • Researching trends and product newness across multiple product categories.
  • Designing trend-led, stylish product that resonate with our diverse 20-something customer.
  • Helping the designer to build commercially strong, well-balanced seasonal ranges aligned with ASOS’s brand strategy and customer insights.
  • Collaborating with Buying, Commercial, Marketing, and Studio teams to bring your creative vision to life across product and storytelling.
  • Working with the technical team on initial fits. Identifying and helping problem solve for the department. 
  • Building relations with suppliers and advising factories on direction, construction, key details, materials, and trims. 
  • Sharing trend insights and identify new product opportunities to keep our collections fresh, relevant, and ahead of the curve.
  • Using sales data and customer feedback to inform design decisions and drive performance.
  • Sourcing innovative fabrics, trims, and techniques, with a focus on sustainability and eco-conscious choices.
  • Partnering with Technical teams and suppliers to develop fits, silhouettes, and design details that meet quality and aesthetic standards.
  • Supporting our culture by driving Diversity, Equity & Inclusion strategies.

Qualifications

Who We’d Like to Meet...

You are a confident and collaborative designer, eager to learn, with a natural ability to build strong relationships across teams and suppliers. You’re proactive, organised, and thrive in a fast-paced, creative environment while supporting others to do their best work. Passionate about fashion, keeping the customer front of mind and approach challenges with curiosity and strategic thinking.

You’ll bring:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, CAD).
  • A track record of driving commercial success through design.
  • Strong commercial handwriting and understanding of the ASOS Brand and Customer 
  • Computer Skills: Photoshop, Adobe, CAD 
  • A fashion forward perspective 
  • Strong time management 
  • The confidence to identify problems and makes improvement suggestions, seeking practical ways to overcome barriers and remaining calm under pressure
