Headquartered in London, the Brands have over 2 million customers across the globe through the ASOS platform and generate brand sales of c£200m. Following the formation of a Joint Venture between ASOS and HEARTLAND in October 2024, ASOS is creating a standalone cross-functional team within ASOS which is dedicated to unlocking the huge growth potential of the TOPSHOP and TOPMAN brands. The brands will now benefit from ASOS infrastructure and resources while enjoying the creative freedom and agility of standalone brands.    

The next 12 months for TOPSHOP and TOPMAN will see the expansion of the brands’ offline and online retail presence with the launch of Topshop.com and new wholesale partnerships.  

Job Description

As an Assistant Buyer for Topshop Topman, you’ll play a key role in developing amazing product and building fashion-forward, commercial ranges that deliver against sales and margin targets. You’ll work closely with your Buyer, Design, Technical and Merchandising teams, as well as suppliers and brands, to create ranges loved by our 20-something customer. This is a fast-paced, creative role where you’ll influence trends, negotiate with suppliers, and help shape the Topshop Topman product offering.

The Details

You’ll support the Buyer in sourcing and developing products, oversee fittings and sample approvals, and help create a fashion-forward range with constant newness. You’ll also manage the critical path, build strong supplier relationships, and contribute to department strategy by identifying risks and opportunities.

  • Negotiate cost prices and delivery dates while maintaining excellent supplier relationships
  • Work closely with Design and Merchandising teams to build ranges, analyse sales data and agree actions
  • Present insights on trends and competitor activity to inform decisions
  • Influence trading decisions and optimise sales performance
  • Support Fashion with Integrity initiatives and ethical sourcing considerations
  • Oversee training and development of Buying Assistants within the team
  • Champion Diversity, Equity & Inclusion strategies across everything you do

Qualifications

About you

You’re passionate about fashion, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and know what our 20-something customer loves. You’re organised, collaborative, and ready to make an impact.

  • Previous experience as an Assistant Buyer in fashion retail
  • Has a strong understanding of 20-something culture and the TOPSHOP/TOPMAN customer, and is able to find the latest trends relevant to them
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams
