Assistant Buyer - MP Activewear (www.mp.com)

Job Location: Manchester, THG Icon HQ, 7-9 Sunbank Ln, Altrincham WA15 0AF

This role is office based, 5 days a week.

The Role: Assistant Buyer

The role will report into the Junior Buyer on the MP Activewear Clothing team and will involve working closely with the design team, merchandisers, and garment technologists to develop and deliver high quality product on seasonal and core ranges. We are looking for somebody who love’s product and is keen to progress in a fast moving team.

Key responsibilities.

-Support the buying team on delivering full buying cycle with opportunities to quickly progress and take on responsibilities of managing own ranges.

-Working closely with suppliers on submission approvals, critical path and maintaining supplier relationships.

- Negotiating cost prices with suppliers to achieve departmental BIM targets.

-Supporting with competitor shops online and instore.

-Support team with weekly sales analysis.

-Attending weekly product fit sessions and supporting team on product confirmations.

-Carry out regular website product detail checks.

- Supporting on photo shoots and campaigns, ensuring product availability.

Requirements:

-Efficient in Microsoft systems (Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint).

-Accuracy & Attention to detail.

-Good Time Management.

- Experience in buying preferably fashion/ sportwear role or minimum 12 months.
