Job Description :
Global Travel (GT) is one of the most dynamic markets in which Diageo operates with over 1.9B consumers traveling internationally per year from every corner of the Earth. We are a diverse, entrepreneurial, and agile business, with our market HQ in London we operate across 19 different countries and have over 29 different nationalities amongst our team. Our unique channels include ‘duty free’ sales in travel retail through airport shops, border shops, on-board airplanes, cruises and international ferries.
Our marketers play a central role within our business shaping key consumer and shopper insights and turning them into market share winning MBP’s to fuel our businesses growth. They combine creative flair with strategic consumer insight, commercial acumen and strong project management skills to deliver growth drivers and implement brand plans that impact consumers across the World.
Johnnie Walker has a rich heritage in Global Travel and is the currently the #1 blended scotch in the market. To maintain this position, we have to keep recruiting at scale with Black Label whilst continuing to build the brand’s luxury credentials through Blue Label.

Key Outcomes
Diageo Global Travel has a mission to become the #1 supplier in the industry, today driving growth on Johnnie Walker is critical to delivering this ambition. You will be responsible for supporting the Johnnie Walker brand team playing a key role in the following:

Deliver MBP in conjunction with the Global Brand Teams with exceptional plans and assets, enabling us to beat the competition (win share)

Adapt global strategies and growth drivers to maximise impact in Global Travel, creating additional tools and assets where necessary

Partner with the Commercial, Finance, Supply, Customer Marketing, Innovation and Legal teams to effectively implement our plans on time, in full and with impact at the point of purchase.

Manage A&P, ensuring budget is accurate, with Forecast(s) in line with Actuals. Adapting and optimizing when necessary.

Lead in market analysis, understanding drivers behind brand performance along with recommended actions

Deliver breakthrough marketing across all key consumer touch points (retail, digital, gifting)

Lead/support on Innovation/Renovation projects, launching new products that will deliver incremental performance and build equity for the brand

Capability to understand and work with commercials
Experience:
-
The ideal candidate will have gained experience in brand management or commercial roles (min 2 years total experience) which will include great examples of delivering against stretching targets.

Evidence of using insights and data to create winning strategies and an executing, effectively and on time is strongly sought after.

Evidence of working comfortably in an ambiguous environment at pace, balancing multiple project is a major plus.

Those highly skilled in fostering great effective relationships both internally and externally, in person and remotely will thrive in this role.
