To support our continued growth and exciting plans, we’re looking for an Assistant Accountant to join our Finance Team.

About the role 

This role is required onsite in our London office 3 days a week.

Our Finance team provides insight and operational financial support to our business to drive growth and promote a strong financial position. Over the last few years, the Finance team has grown significantly to give the business the infrastructure and capability to support its level of growth. 

As an Assistant Accountant in Accounts Receivable you’ll be part of a team responsible for our accounts receivable finance processes. These processes include maintaining the internal company accounting system, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our records, and building relationships and reporting to our internal stakeholders. 

Alongside your in-role development, we also offer a £7k fully comprehensive study support package for ACCA or CIMA along with 20 days study support per calendar year to aid personal growth. 

In this role, you’ll be: 

• Reconciling customer self-bill invoices and payments with varying degrees of complexity 

• Managing the quality of data stored in the sales register 

• Assisting the commercial managers with customer account reconciliations 

• Investigating billing discrepancies and raise customer queries direct with energy suppliers 

• Working with the Commercial Director and Commercial Team to produce reports which will aid them in making decisions to drive business forward 

• Working in conjunction with energy suppliers to build relationships to overcome issues and work towards improving processes 

• Raise invoices and monitor AR inboxes resolving customer queries 

• Chase overdue invoices and ensure that aged debtors are kept to a minimum 

• Running month end reports within tight deadlines, ensuring accuracy first time 

About you 

• You’ll enjoy or want to work, in a fast paced, fun and lively environment 

• You’ll be looking to start or complete your ACCA or CIMA studies (we offer £7k fully comprehensive study support package for ACCA or CIMA along with 20 days study support per calendar year) 

• You might be in your first finance role, looking for your next move 

• You’re highly organised and able to prioritise your workload 

• You can work independently while hitting deadlines 

• You’re a confident communicator 

• You’re analytical and a problem solver, with a continuous improvement attitude
