Job Details
As a Bulk Analyst, you will play a key role within our laboratory operation, carrying out asbestos bulk sample analysis and ensuring accurate, timely reporting to support client projects across the UK.
Working within a UKAS-accredited laboratory environment, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of quality, compliance and technical accuracy.

What you will do
  • Analyse asbestos bulk samples using approved laboratory techniques and procedures.
  • Accurately identify asbestos-containing materials and produce detailed analytical reports.
  • Ensure all laboratory work is completed in accordance with UKAS requirements and HSG248 guidance.
  • Maintain accurate records and laboratory documentation.
  • Support quality control processes and participate in internal audits where required.
  • Assist in maintaining laboratory equipment and ensuring a clean, safe working environment.
  • Prioritise workloads to meet client deadlines and business requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with surveyors, analysts and the wider operational team.

Who you are
  • BOHS P401 qualification (Identification of Asbestos in Bulk Samples).
  • Previous experience working within an asbestos laboratory environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate results.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good IT and report-writing skills.
  • Understanding of UKAS standards and asbestos regulations.
