Job Details
As a Bulk Analyst, you will play a key role within our laboratory operation, carrying out asbestos bulk sample analysis and ensuring accurate, timely reporting to support client projects across the UK.
Working within a UKAS-accredited laboratory environment, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of quality, compliance and technical accuracy.
What you will do
- Analyse asbestos bulk samples using approved laboratory techniques and procedures.
- Accurately identify asbestos-containing materials and produce detailed analytical reports.
- Ensure all laboratory work is completed in accordance with UKAS requirements and HSG248 guidance.
- Maintain accurate records and laboratory documentation.
- Support quality control processes and participate in internal audits where required.
- Assist in maintaining laboratory equipment and ensuring a clean, safe working environment.
- Prioritise workloads to meet client deadlines and business requirements.
- Work collaboratively with surveyors, analysts and the wider operational team.
Who you are
- BOHS P401 qualification (Identification of Asbestos in Bulk Samples).
- Previous experience working within an asbestos laboratory environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate results.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good IT and report-writing skills.
- Understanding of UKAS standards and asbestos regulations.
