About the role
Frontiers is seeking an experienced Applications Manager to ensure that enterprise software applications meet business needs and
operate smoothly. The Applications Manager is responsible for overseeing the lifecycle of enterprise-level applications such as Jira, Confluence, Office 365 apps and others. This role requires close collaboration with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into effective technical solutions, while providing high-level support and managing application optimization.
 

This role will report to the Enterprise Solutions Manager. 
 

This is a hybrid position available in Madrid and London.
Key responsibilities

  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of enterprise applications, from procurement and implementation to ongoing maintenance, optimization, and eventual retirement. 

  • Work with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into clear technical specifications. 

  • Manage and implement change requests for application modifications, ensuring that changes are properly tested, documented and rolled out without disruption to business operations. 

  • Provide training and documentation to end-users, ensuring they understand how to use the software effectively and maximize its potential. 

  • Develop and provide Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to the customer service team to facilitate user support, acting as Level 3 escalation for complex application issues. 

  • Identify opportunities for system and process improvements, ensuring that applications are optimized to support business processes efficiently and effectively. 

  • Ensure that all applications meet organizational security standards and comply with relevant legal and regulatory requirements. 

  • Work with the Enterprise Solutions Manager to align application solutions with the overall IT strategy.
     

Required skills

  • Experience managing enterprise applications such as Jira, Confluence, Office 365 apps or similar.  

  • Experience in managing the full lifecycle of enterprise applications, from selection to retirement.  

  • Excellent communication skills for working with both technical teams and business stakeholders.  

  • Strong ability to translate business requirements into clear technical specifications.  

  • Strategic mindset to align applications with long-term business objectives 

  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex application issues as part of Level 3 support.  

  • Knowledge of application security and compliance requirements.  

  • Experience with change management and process improvement.  

  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and projects.
