Our vision is to give everyone the belief they can make their move. We aim to make moving simpler, by giving everyone the best place to turn to and return to for access to the tools, expertise, trust, and belief to make it happen.

We’re home to the UK’s largest choice of properties and are the go-to destination for millions of people planning their next move, reading the latest industry news, or just browsing what’s on the market.

We are looking for an App Product Marketing Manager who will work closely with product, marketing and our agencies to help define and communicate our consumer products, propositions and go to market strategies for the app.

This is the first role of this kind in the app space at Rightmove, so is a brilliant opportunity to establish the scope and help shape the future of the app as we make it more of a focus for the business and consumers.

What you’ll be doing

  • Strengthen the app by working across Product Marketing, Product and Marketing to ensure our mobile experience is reflected clearly in how we position, launch and communicate products.
  • Collaborate with PMMs to ensure GTMs, messaging and positioning land consistently across web and app — and identify moments where app-led storytelling is needed.
  • Shape how we show up on app through integrated GTMs and, where appropriate, app-led GTMs working closely with the PR, Content, CRM and agency teams.
  • Work closely with the brand managers, where appropriate, to make sure that the product positioning and messaging is right and where applicable, that the media plan will deliver against the product OKR’s.
  • Have an overview of the performance of priority consumer products and work with the product team to analyse and drive improvements and identify new growth opportunities.
  • Be the day to day contact for consumer product owners across app and other product functions where related.
  • Development the product marketing strategy for apps
  • Be the voice of the consumer within product, utilising user segmentation and journey mapping to hone our consumer journeys, driving up awareness and usage by deploying the right message, to the right audience, at the right point in their journey with us.
  • Be a member of the squad who are developing new consumer propositions and products, having a point of view on market trends, consumer behaviours and competitive changes that could impact or shape our consumer offering.
  • Play a key role in evolving the PMM function, defining ways of working that create seamless consumer experiences.

We’re looking for someone who

  • You have a unique mix of analytical, strategic and creative skills.  You love the variety of thinking required to analyse data, set strategy & direction, execute creative marketing and win hearts and minds along the way.
  • An excellent communicator and storyteller, you’ll be comfortable presenting to and influencing other teams around the business, including senior stakeholders, on your projects and plans.
  • You’ll have exceptional attention to detail and an iterative test and learn mindset, always looking for ways to improve the effectiveness of our product marketing across the end-to-end consumer experience.
  • Ability to make the complex simple.
  • Good at managing multiple stakeholders and inputs to create one simple view.
  • Strategic thinker who looks to solve business challenges by starting with the consumer.
  • You’ll love working with a variety of people and skill sets and relish the variety of conversations you contribute to, from legal and compliance to tone of voice, creative and messaging.
  • You’ll have experience working for a digital brand developing new digital products and services and understand both the challenges and rewards that come with this.

What you’ll bring to the role

  • 7+ years experience working in Marketing or Product Marketing (must have product marketing experience).
  • Highly organised, proactive and a skilled multi-tasker, you’re capable of pivoting quickly when needed and confident thinking on your feet.
  • Past work in a consumer products organisation working with a complex ecosystem of products.
  • Bring experience working across app + web and understanding how adoption behaviours differ by channel.
  • A proven track record of working closely with Product and Marketing leadership and helping to shape Go to Market strategy from the early stages of product building.
  • Demonstrable experience of ownership (we are looking for people who welcome responsibility and make things that matter happen) and comfortable and confident in discussions with people at all levels of the business: technical and non-technical, senior and operational management. We have a very flat structure.
