The UK Custom Retirement Solutions team is responsible for delivering AB Multi-Asset Solutions to UK DC clients. The Operations Implementation Associate will play a key role in ensuring the effective implementation of investment propositions, oversight of daily operational processes, and delivery of accurate and timely reporting. This role requires a high level of experience in DC pensions operations, strong technical and regulatory knowledge, and the ability to manage complex projects and stakeholder relationships.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee and implement day-to-day operational tasks to ensure high-quality service delivery for UK DC Custom Retirement Solutions.

- Ensure effective implementation of investment propositions in line with platform and regulatory requirements.

- Manage business-as-usual (BAU) changes, including fund launches, transitions, and other investment-related changes.

- Support the delivery of key investment proposition developments, including transformational projects to evolve default investment solutions.

- Maintain accurate portfolio data for performance reporting and ensure timely provision of external data to AB.

- Conduct daily portfolio reconciliation and implement trading instructions from the investment team.

- Ensure compliance with FCA investment regulations and other relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., Value for Members, Consumer Duty, Sustainable Disclosure Regulations).

- Assist with commercial calculations and assess the impact of investment change projects.

- Deliver clear and accurate materials to clients and internal stakeholders, including steering groups, governance committees, and trustees.

- Liaise closely with local and global teams within AB, as well as external providers and platform partners.

- Continuously challenge and improve processes, with a focus on automation, data accuracy, and operational efficiency.

- Contribute to projects ensuring compliance with regulatory changes affecting delegated DC investment solutions.

Skills & Experience Required

- Experience in a DC pensions-focused operations or delivery role, ideally within an asset manager, provider, or consultancy.

- Strong knowledge of investment products, distribution, and the regulatory environment in the UK DC pensions market.

- Demonstrated experience managing complex projects and BAU changes in a multi-asset or DC environment.

- Excellent numeracy skills and confidence working with large datasets.

- Proficient in MS Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint; programming knowledge is an advantage.

- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.

- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and external partners.

- Commercial focus and ability to navigate technical investment challenges.

- Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement.
