Job Description
Motorola Solutions is seeking a skilled and motivated Android Software Engineer to develop innovative, mission-critical device-based solutions for our Android enabled two-way radios.
This role focuses on android platform development while offering the opportunity to enhance your skills in a technology-driven and collaborative environment.
Basic Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications or Computer Science.
Solid understanding of software engineering principles, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
Knowledge of the full SDLC with experience delivering products or services to end users.
Knowledge of Java or Kotlin programming.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Nice to Have Experience
Understanding of Linux kernel concepts, including memory management, interrupt and event handling, synchronization mechanisms, subsystem infrastructure, CPU resource management, and file system operations within the Linux kernel environment.
Existing knowledge of the Android platform.
Familiarity with Android framework components (e.g., Bluetooth, sensors, widgets, and services).
Android development using Java or Kotlin and familiarity with Android SDK, NDK, and Android Studio.
Knowledge of C/C++
Familiarity with different device driver frameworks for Linux.
Ability to read and interpret schematics and hardware design documentation.
Familiarity with a variety of test equipment, including hardware debuggers, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other diagnostic tools.
Familiarity with automated build systems, continuous integration, and deployment frameworks.
