The role:

The Analytics Technologist position at Lonza AG presents a remarkable opportunity to be at the forefront of innovative science and technology. The role involves driving and completing lab-based work to an exceptionally high standard with flawless attention to detail. You will work strictly according to protocol, ensuring compliance with all relevant rules and procedures. This role encourages continuous learning and skill enhancement, allowing you to discover new ways to contribute effectively to our ambitious projects.

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver work in line with encouraged standards, ensuring safety, timeliness, and the highest quality

  • Take ownership of equipment where applicable, ensuring its efficient operation and maintenance

  • Adhere to good laboratory practice, including cGMP where applicable

  • Operate equipment and follow standard, **detailed** processes and procedures meticulously

  • Advance any issues promptly to ensure smooth workflow

  • Conduct basic data analysis and interpretation, including pass/fail determinations

  • Complete and peer review laboratory documentation with precision

  • Report results to the appropriate audience through presentations, data summaries, and detailed reports

  • Participate in IMS rota, contributing to the overall success of the team

Key requirements:

  • BSc or equivalent experience in a relevant scientific or technical team

  • A keen interest in and preferably experience with analytical tests such as ELISA, SPR, and cell-based assays

  • Proven ability to critically analyse information and drive data-driven decisions on internal projects

  • Ability to maintain and take ownership of systems, including documentation, calibration, troubleshooting, and handling HPLC shutdowns

  • Strong collaborative skills to successfully implement projects within a team environment
