Equifax is seeking a driven and insightful Analytics Platform Business Analyst to join our Core Analytics team within the Data and Analytics (D&A) division. In this role, you will act as the vital bridge between our analytical users and technical teams, taking ownership of the business requirements, user enablement, and day-to-day compliance of our "Ignite" analytical platforms.

Based on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Ignite Internal is the environment in which all D&A analytical exercises take place. Ignite Direct is the equivalent client facing platform. Both house many terabytes of analytical data, advanced tools and specialised services.

As the Analytics Platform Business Analyst you will liaise between internal analytical users from D&A, the Product team representing external clients, and Technology teams managing daily operations and major upgrades. To be successful, you will need strong traditional BA skills—such as requirement gathering and stakeholder management—combined with the hands-on technical ability (including SQL and Python) needed to deeply understand analytics workflows and support a complex GCP environment.

What you’ll do

  • Work with Users of all platforms to:

    • Understand user needs and stay aware of new requirements and problems

    • Establish best practice guidance and maintain user guides for initial set up and key capabilities

  • Work with Product and Technology teams (local and global as required) to:

    • Ensure users issues and needs are prioritised and resolved appropriately

    • Assess any impact from platform changes/upgrades

    • Design and implement new capabilities to the client facing Ignite platforms.

  • Work with the D&A Governance team to ensure compliant use by Equifax users and external clients.

  • Implement cost control monitoring for Ignite Internal; making and/or implementing recommendations.

  • Design and document back up and recovery plans for all Ignite platforms.

What experience you need

  • Multiple years hands-on experience in a data analytics environment

  • Strong technical expertise and experience of analytics techniques

  • Proficiency using SQL and Python in a data analytics environment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with team members and stakeholders at various levels of technical understanding

  • Experience managing stakeholder relationships outside your immediate team

What could set you apart

  • Experience in the use of credit bureau data

  • Experience using Google Cloud Platform and/or Google Cloud Engineer qualifications

  • Experience of PySpark, BigQuery, Git and any/all of: DataFlow, DataProc, Airflow (or equivalents)

We believe great things happen when teams connect. Our schedule is built around 4 days of high-impact, in-office collaboration (Monday–Thursday), paired with Friday Flexibility to wrap up your week remotely.
