The Opportunity

We’re looking for a talented Analytics Manager to join our Collections Analytics team at Zopa. In this high-impact role, you’ll lead the collections oversight function, owning the day-to-day programme management of initiatives, ensuring projects are well-scoped, prioritised, and delivered effectively. You’ll play a central role in how data shapes strategy and performance: designing analyses, building scalable reporting, uncovering trends, and developing actionable recommendations that improve processes and deliver better outcomes for our customers.

You’ll drive how data is used to inform decision-making in Collections, while managing a team of analysts and collaborating closely with colleagues across Operations, Credit Strategy, Risk, and Data Engineering. Along the way, you’ll play a key role in helping Zopa modernise, automate, and elevate its data capabilities.

Day to day responsibilities

  • Own programme delivery - scope, prioritise, and oversee the day-to-day management of analytics initiatives within Collections, ensuring projects are delivered effectively and on time.
  • Lead and develop the team - manage a small group of collections analysts, providing coaching, guidance, and support to ensure high-quality delivery and professional growth.
  • Monitor and respond to outcomes - track changes in collections, customer, and credit performance, proactively identifying risks or opportunities and driving the right actions.
  • Drive strategy through insight - turn data into strategies that optimise portfolio performance, shape policy, and deliver fair, effective outcomes for customers, while exploring how AI and advanced analytical techniques can unlock new opportunities.
  • Champion reporting and visibility - ensure robust dashboards and reporting tools are in place to monitor key KPIs, highlight trends, and inform senior decision-making.
  • Partner across the business - collaborate with Operations, Product, Risk, and Compliance to align strategies that balance customer outcomes with commercial performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement - take ownership of reviewing and enhancing collections processes and analytics workflows, modernising how we operate while encouraging automation, scalability, and innovation to deliver more efficient and effective outcomes.

About you

  • Leadership & people development - you’re keen to grow as a people manager, supporting and developing analysts in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer and operations focus - you’re passionate about delivering better outcomes for customer in financial difficulty and thrive in the dynamic, fast-moving world of Operations.
  • Credit strategy and financial services - you’re interested in learning about credit risk, collections, and consumer lending, with prior experience a strong advantage.
  • Collaboration and communication - you build strong relationships, understand business needs, and communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Technical toolkit - you bring strong SQL skills (Python a bonus) and experience with data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
  • Problem-solving with impact - you’re curious and analytical, able to translate business problems into solutions that deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Prioritisation and delivery - you balance multiple demands effectively, focusing on the highest-value opportunities and ensuring projects are delivered to a high standard.
